Listen to this episode on:
I was absolutely convinced my husband had taken my car keys. Not 50% sure. Not 90% sure. 110% percent sure.
The problem? He didn't have them. I had left them in the car.
It's amazing how quickly we jump to conclusions. We fill in missing details, assume motives, and build entire stories before we know the facts. We've all done it. The challenge is remembering that we're often seeing only part of the picture.
Grace grows when humility grows. And humility starts with recognizing that sometimes we may not know as much as we think we do.
Scripture (NIV):
James 1:19 — “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”
Reflection Questions:
When was the last time I jumped to a conclusion?
Do I listen before reacting?
How can I extend more grace to others today?
